Planning for next imaging night

Thought it might be good to start a thread where people put in suggested DSO imaging targets. I have been planning out my coming months for targets I want to image. Some will require dark skies some will be ok in light polluted skies. Here is my list
M1
Horse head
M42
NGC 2327 (seagull nebula)
NGC 2183
NGC 2467
Tarantula
NGC 2264 (cone nebula)
So what is your list?

Ok Ok !!!
If that moon will go away and those clouds i want to redo:
Trifid
Swan
Lagoon (but closup)
And then get up early and snag M42 and the horsehead (the horsy will be with the filter removed from the Nikon).

I hope to get enough clear nights to do a full mosaic at high res of the LMC and the SMC in narrow band and colour and in HDR. I also think I will make love to the next Miss Australia. The latter is far more likely as weather really interferes with the former. All my equipment is ready for all tasks at hand!

Ok, I will go next......
Over the next few weeks (going into months), in no particular order of preference......
Lagoon - yet do do a stack of images
Helix -would like to give that a go
NGC253
M42 - yet to give this a 'proper' go
Horse Head - would have to be on most lists
NGC1365 in Fornax
M45 (Pleiades) - but not sure if it will fit in fov of ED80
NGC2070 (Tarantula)
I think the above will keep me busy.........

I know I have chosen very tough targets, but that's the way I am:
*Abell 194 (Galaxy Cluster in Cetus) which includes NGC 541 and Minkowski's Object (Arp 133),
*NGC 182 Galaxy Group in Pisces,
*Pegasus Galaxy Cluster (centred on NGC 7619) containing approx 35 Galaxies in the FOV
*and return to the Centaurus Galaxy Cluster
Plus others as I think of them

Next few weeks...
M20 @ 1700mm
M42+M43+IC434+B33 @ 300mm
47tuc @ 1700mm
M42 @ 1700mm (to add more data to my current image)
M31 @ 400mm~700mm if I can fit it in..
My project for the month, A photo of the moon every night for the cycle (provided the weather plays nicely.

Ok we are now heading into the dark part of the month for October. I can feel a horse head coming on. Perhaps tonight, a bit of wind around at present but I am hoping it will drop after dark. Anything you guys are going to image?

M45 and Eta Carina this month.. Maybe have another go at the Helix while I wait for M45 to rise, once M45 goes behind my neighbors house, Carina is at 28 degrees above the horizon.. Makes for good timing... I still have to do a IC434 shot, but I'll wait till I get get to dark skies for that...

Suppose planning is a good thing to do whilst im clouded in...
Next couple of times im out I have to...
1 - Collimate the C11
I want to have a try at NGC1365.. Probably at F/6.3. but I'd love to do it at F10.. (mount/guiding might not play nicely for that..
after 2hrs or so of 1365, I want to try to get a close up of the horse head at F/6.3.... As much data as darkness allows..
The next night im out.. well.. I have a new toy to play with... an adapter for my QHY8 that will allow me to use my EF lenses!!
24-60 F/2.8 (@ 24mm) shot of the milky way setting... 10x3min
EF 300 F/2.8L + QHY8 shot of M31. Try for 2hrs worth of 10 minute shots...
EF 70-200 F/4L (@ 135mm) + QHY8 shot of M42+IC434 - 15x1min + 12x600 + 6x1200sec

Hopefully this weekend I'll be chasing some target Galaxies on my Super Nova search list.
Cheers
